Very predictable result when fourth ranked Aiolos Trikallon (9-3) defeated at home 11th ranked Irakleio (3-9) 86-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Aiolos Trikallon. Irakleio was better in second period 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aiolos Trikallon looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Irakleio's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Tasos Charismidis (203-81, agency: FCM) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and guard Nikos Kaklamanos (189-81, agency: FCM) who added 18 points during the contest. Aiolos Trikallon's coach Giannis Tzimas used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was point guard Giannis Stefanakis (185-80) with 12 points and naturalized German forward Kostas Kotoulas (200-79) scored 15 points. Aiolos Trikallon moved-up to third place. Irakleio lost third consecutive game. Irakleio at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with nine games lost. Aiolos Trikallon will face Pagrati (#8) in Athens in the next round where they are favorite. Irakleio will play at home against Niki Volou in NIki Volou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
