We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked MKS Skierniew. (5-6) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Basket Pila (5-6) 88-70 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 14 points at the halftime before their 58-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Basket Pila made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Basket Pila had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Lukasz Krzeminski (200-80) stepped up and scored 31 points for the winners and guard Grzegorz Przewozniak (192-82) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Basket Pila players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Mariusz Wojcik (197-79) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Mariusz Lapinski (194-82) scored 12 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Basket Pila moved-up to sixth place in Group A, which they share with defeated MKS Skierniew. Basket Pila will face Notec (#9) in Inowroclaw in the next round.
