No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Alvik Basket (5-7) beat on the road 12th ranked Jarva Devils (1-13) 83-70 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Alvik Basket. Jarva Devils was better in third quarter 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Jakob Andersson (196, college: Allan Hancock CC) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. Bjorn Larsson Hillgren (-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Alvik Basket players scored in double figures. Kevin Olofsson (-92) replied with 19 points and forward Carl-Johan Hugner (193-85) added 3 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Jarva Devils. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alvik Basket moved-up to ninth place in North. Jarva Devils lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Alvik Basket will face higher ranked Taby Basket (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Jarva Devils will play against KFUM Blackebergs (#5) in Vallingby.
