Regular Season Round 14: LF Future - Umea 90-85

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Umea (11-4) against fourth ranked LF Future (9-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Umea was defeated by LF Future in a tough game in Lulea 85-90. It looked good early as Umea took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then LF Future had a 38-22 second period charge getting the lead and Umea was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 85-90. Guard Adam Ronnqvist (181-90) scored 32 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jonathan Larsson (190-91) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists during the contest. LF Future's coach Jim Enbom allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Johan Pierre (187-89, agency: Interperformances) responded with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Per Bergmark (195-89) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Four Umea players scored in double figures. LF Future maintains fourth position in North with 9-3 record. Newly promoted Umea keeps the second place with four games lost. LF Future will play against Orongo Dragons (#10) in Sundsvall in the next round where they are favorite. Umea will have a break next round.
