Regular Season Round 28: Yokohama BC - Gunma 79-61

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Yokohama BC (20-8) beat at home 10th ranked Gunma (5-21) 79-61. The game without a history. Yokohama BC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Yokohama BC outrebounded Gunma 46-35 including 32 on the defensive glass. Quite impressive performance for American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul, agency: Top Notch Sports) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Senegalese center Pape Faye (200-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. American power forward Lewis Witcher (207-87, college: Virginia Tech) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Dominique Keller (203-88, college: Illinois) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Gunma. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yokohama BC moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Gunma keeps the tenth position with 21 games lost. Yokohama BC will have a break next round. Gunma will play at home against Toyama Grouses (#4).
