An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Barcellona. First ranked Sigma Barcellona faced 4th placed Givova Scafati. Host Sigma Barcellona (11-4) defeated guests from Scafati (9-5) 91-86. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Givova Scafati won third quarter 27-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Sigma Barcellona won last quarter 26-23. They made 24-of-24 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Troy Bell (186-80, college: Boston Coll.) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!). His fellow American import point guard Taurean Green (184-85, college: Florida) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Ronald Slay (203-81, college: Tennessee, agency: David Lee services) who recorded 32 points and 7 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and power forward Patrick Baldassarre (200-86, agency: Players Group) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Four Sigma Barcellona and five Givova Scafati players scored in double figures. Sigma Barcellona maintains first place with 11-4 record. Givova Scafati at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Sigma Barcellona are looking forward to face Pall.Trento (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Givova Scafati will play against Upea CdO (#14) in Capo d'Orlando and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
