Regular Season Round 14: 36ers - Kings 82-64

The most important game in the last round took place in Findon between third ranked Kings (10-8) and seventh ranked Adelaide 36ers (6-11) on Sunday night. Kings were defeated by Adelaide 36ers on the road 64-82. The game without a history. Adelaide 36ers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Strangely Kings outrebounded Adelaide 36ers 45-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. Center Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 7 rebounds. The former international swingman Stephen Weigh (198-87) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures. American point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St.) replied with 15 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Darnell Lazare (203-85, college: LSU, agency: Priority Sports) added 8 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Kings. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Adelaide 36ers moved-up to fifth place. Kings at the other side keep the third position with eight games lost. Adelaide 36ers are looking forward to face league's leader New Zealand Breakers in Auckland in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kings will play at home against Melbourne Tigers and are hoping to win this game.
