Regular Season Round 14: Helsingborg - Talje 72-74

Important game to mention about took place in Helsingborg. Ninth ranked Talje Knights (5-7) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 11th ranked Helsingborg (3-10) 74-72 on Sunday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Helsingborg won fourth quarter 26-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Helsingborg outrebounded Talje Knights 37-25 including 23 on the defensive glass. Forward Jesper Andersson (203-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Gustav Sundstrom (197-91) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Niklas Sellin (197-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Kosovan forward Gazmend Sinani (203-91) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Helsingborg. Four Helsingborg players scored in double figures. Talje Knights maintains ninth position in South with 5-7 record. Loser Helsingborg keeps the eleventh place with ten games lost. Talje Knights will face higher ranked Haga Haninge (#4) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Helsingborg will play against Eskilstuna (#7).
