Important game to mention about took place in Tehran. Ninth ranked Petrochimi Mahshahr (4-10) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging higher ranked Azad (7-6) 76-75 on Monday evening. The former international center Mohammad Shahsavand (210-77) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Lithuanian center Povilas Cukinas (210-83) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Petrochimi Mahshahr players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Mousa Nabipour (212-83) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and the former international guard Hamed Hosseinzadeh (187-87) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Azad. Petrochimi Mahshahr moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Al Badr. Azad at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Petrochimi Mahshahr will play against Esteghlal (#9) in Qeshm in the next round. Azad will play on the road against Al Badr (#8) in Banddar Kong and hopes to get back on the winning track.
