National League top team - Ironi Nes-Ziona (11-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Maccabi K/G (3-10) in Nes Ziyona 97-61. The game without a history. Ironi Nes-Ziona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Maccabi K/G's 34. They outrebounded Maccabi K/G 44-28 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ironi Nes-Ziona players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Maccabi K/G's players. American forward Gabe Blair (203-87, college: Wichita St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Bilal Benn (196-86, college: Niagara) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. Benn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Ironi Nes-Ziona players scored in double figures. Ironi Nes-Ziona's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Lenny Daniel (203-87, college: CS Northridge) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Yonathan Shtarkman scored 16 points. Ironi Nes-Ziona maintains first place with 11-2 record. Maccabi K/G lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with Elitzur Ramla. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against Ironi Ramat Gan (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
