Regular Season Round 28: Yokohama BC - Akita NH 92-81

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Akita Happinets (14-10) were defeated on the road by third ranked Yokohama BC (20-8) 92-81. Yokohama BC dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Akita Happinets' 34 and made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The game was also dominated by American players. Quite impressive performance for guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul, agency: Top Notch Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Global Sports Plaza) contributed with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Marshall Brown (199-85, college: Missouri) replied with 26 points and 6 assists and forward Daniel Fitzgerald (206-84, college: Marquette) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Akita Happinets. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yokohama BC moved-up to second place. Akita Happinets at the other side keep the fifth position with ten games lost. Yokohama BC will have a break next round. Akita Happinets will play at home against Iwate Big Bulls (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
