Date: January 15, 2013
Very expected game in Sydney, NS where bottom-ranked Sea Hawks (0-10) were crushed by leader Capers (10-0) 99-67 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Capers. Sea Hawks was better in third quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sea Hawks to just 6 points in second quarter. Capers forced 22 Sea Hawks turnovers and outrebounded them 43-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Jimmy Dorsey (188) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Forward Sean Mccormick (196) helped adding 11 points and 11 rebounds. Five Capers players scored in double figures. At the losing side Alpha Kisusi responded with 14 points and 4 assists and swingman Ryan Wood (191) scored 12 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Capers. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Sea Hawks lost their tenth game in a row. They still closes the standings with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
