Regular Season Round 20: Cape Breton - Memorial 60-57

Important game to mention about took place in Sydney. Sixth ranked Cape Breton (3-7) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Memorial (4-6) 60-57 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Memorial. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-11. But Memorial won second period 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cape Breton forced 22 Memorial turnovers. Forward Colleen Keane (175) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Naudia Campbell (185, college: Washburn) contributed with 6 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Kim Devison (175-89) replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Grace Fishbein (180-90) added 15 points in the effort for Memorial. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cape Breton maintains sixth position with 3-7 record. Memorial at the other side keeps the fifth place with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
