Another exciting game took place in St.Catharines, ON where fifth ranked Gryphons (5-7) edged by three points one of their biggest challengers Badgers (4-8) 72-69. Badgers were ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 22-18 charge of Gryphons, which allowed them to win the game. Badgers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Michel Clark (185) orchestrated the victory by scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Zachary Angus (185) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Jameson Tipping (201, college: W.Kentucky) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and forward Mike Luby (213) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Badgers. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gryphons moved-up to fourth place, which they share with UNBC and Calgary. Badgers at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with TWU. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
