Regular Season Round 23: Fujian QB - Zhejiang CB 130-114

An interesting game took place in Jinjiang where higher ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (10-11) was upset on the court of fifteenth ranked Fujian (8-14) 130-114 on Wednesday. Fujian outrebounded Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank 57-35 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for international Zhelin Wang (215-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 19 rebounds. American center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) helped adding 26 points and 14 rebounds. American power forward Eddy Curry (211-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) scored 38 points (!!!). Five Fujian and four Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fujian moved-up to fourteenth place. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Fujian will face higher ranked DongGuan Leopards (#11) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
