Very significant was Grindavik's (#1) 90-84 road victory against their biggest opponent Snaefell. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Snaefell. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests were ahead by 5 points but lost the second period ending it with a 6-point deficit before their 30-18 run, which allowed them to win the game. Grindavik made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Grindavik outrebounded Snaefell 49-37 including 34 on the defensive glass. They share it with Stjarnan. Grindavik will play against league's leader Thor Thorl in Thorlakshofn in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Snaefell will play on the road against Stjarnan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
