Regular Season Round 24: Shandong FB - TianJin S. 114-104

There was no surprise in Jinan where 9th ranked TianJin Steel (10-12) was defeated by third ranked Shandong Bulls (16-7) 114-104 on Friday. Shandong Bulls looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by TianJin Steel's players. The best player for the winners was American point guard Pooh Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) who scored 27 points and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) chipped in 24 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Donnell Harvey (203-80, college: Florida) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 22 rebounds and forward Nan Zhang (197-81) added 28 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively. Four Shandong Bulls and five TianJin Steel players scored in double figures. TianJin Steel's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shandong Bulls have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser TianJin Steel dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Shandong Bulls will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TianJin Steel will play against Qingdao Eagles (#17) and hope to secure a win.
