Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Doha: Al Rayyan (#1) and Al Gharafa (#5). Al Rayyan (11-2) won against visiting Al Gharafa (8-6) 69-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Gharafa. They outrebounded Al Gharafa 45-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Boney Watson (183-78, college: Sam Houston St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. The former international power forward Yasseen Ismail Musa (204-80) accounted for 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Al Rayyan players scored in double figures. American-Jordanian guard Rasheim Wright (192-81, college: District of Col.) came up with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international swingman Ousseynou N'Diaye (196-85, agency: Court Side) added 15 points respectively for Al Gharafa in the defeat. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-2 record. Al Gharafa at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost.
