Regular Season Round 19: Denain - Rouen 61-72

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Denain Voltaire (5-14) lost at home to ninth ranked SPO Rouen (10-9) 72-61 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by SPO Rouen. Denain Voltaire was better in third quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Denain Voltaire was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. It was a very good performance for forward Tai Wesley (200-86, college: Utah St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Wendell McKines (198-88, college: N.Mexico St.) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four SPO Rouen players scored in double figures. Forward John Flowers (200-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: KMG Sports Management) answered with 13 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Marcus Kitts (205-89, college: William & Mary) added 7 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Denain Voltaire. SPO Rouen have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Denain Voltaire lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 14 games lost. SPO Rouen will face JL Bourg (#10) on the road in the next round.
