Regular Season Round 15: Tln Kalev - Parnu 91-92

The most exciting game of round 15 in the KML took place in Tallinn. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 8th ranked Tln Kalev (4-14) to seventh ranked KK Parnu (6-10) 92-91 in the game for the seventh place. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-91. 26 personal fouls committed by Tln Kalev helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Lithuanian guard Augustas Peciukevicius (192-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Lithuanian forward Osvaldas Matulionis (200-91) helped adding 24 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Nigerian-American forward Ike Okoye (206, college: Boise St.) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American-Italian guard Marc Campbell (180-86, college: N.Carolina) scored 20 points. Four KK Parnu and five Tln Kalev players scored in double figures. Tln Kalev's coach Kalle Klandorf tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. KK Parnu maintains seventh place with 6-10 record. Tln Kalev at the other side keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. KK Parnu are looking forward to face higher ranked Valga (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tln Kalev will have a break next round.
