Eleventh-ranked Eco Orebro (4-18) made lots of trouble for sixth ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (13-8). Norrkoping Dolphins managed to secure only one-point victory 83-82. However their fans expected much easier game. It looked good early as Eco Orebro took an 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Norrkoping Dolphins took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 1 point. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Eco Orebro's 32. They outrebounded Eco Orebro 42-22 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Joakim Kjellbom (213-79, college: N.Arizona) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds. Icelandic guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87, agency: I.D.S. Law) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach Paul Burke allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Darris Santee (203-87, college: UNLV) replied with 25 points and 4 assists and American-Bosnian point guard Terell Castle (182-72, college: Nicholls St., agency: Court Side) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Eco Orebro. Four Norrkoping Dolphins and five Eco Orebro players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains sixth position with 13-8 record. Eco Orebro lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 18 games lost. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against KFUM Jamtland (#9) on the road in the next round. Eco Orebro will play against White Eagles in Stockholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
