Regular Season Round 12: Valladolid - Real C.Vigo 47-48

The most interesting game of round 12 in the LF2 was only one-point a home defeat of 7th ranked Universidad de Valladolid (4-7) to sixth ranked Real Celta Vigo (5-6) 48-47 in the game for the sixth place. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 17-9 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Marina Delgado (174-92) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 9 rebounds and Senegalese forward Sabelle Diata (186, college: Northeastern JC) who added 10 points during the contest. Real Celta Vigo's coach Carlos Colinas used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was point guard Cristina Salinas (162-93) with 21 points and guard Paula Vicente (175-96) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Real Celta Vigo maintains sixth position in Group A with 5-6 record. Universidad de Valladolid at the other side keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Ourense P. and Oviedo. Real Celta Vigo are looking forward to face higher ranked Al-Qazeres (#3) in Caceres in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Universidad de Valladolid will play on the road against Pabellon Ourense (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
