Regular Season Round 22: Saskatchewan - TRU 85-69

Date: January 19, 2013
There was no surprise in Saskatoon, SK where one of their biggest challengers Wolfpack (6-9) was defeated by second ranked Huskies (10-4) 85-69 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-69. Huskies outrebounded Wolfpack 37-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. Wolfpack was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Stephon Lamar (185, college: Pacific) scored 28 points to lead the charge for the winners and guard Patrick Burns (198) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. Five Huskies players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Kevin Pribilsky (180) responded with 14 points and Zach Usherwood scored 14 points. Wolfpack's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Huskies have a solid four-game winning streak. Despite that victory Huskies went down to third position due to points difference. Wolfpack lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
