Regular Season Round 16: Boulazac - Le Mans 68-77

Very predictable result when second ranked Le Mans (11-5) won against on the road bottom-ranked Boulazac Basket (4-12) 77-68. It looked good early as Boulazac Basket took an 13-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Le Mans took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 9 points. 25 personal fouls committed by Boulazac Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Brazilian power forward Joao Paulo Batista (207-81, college: Gonzaga) fired 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Cam Long (193-88, college: George Mason, agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 16 points. American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-86, college: George Mason, agency: SportsTalent) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Anthony Roberson (189-83, college: Florida) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Le Mans have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Gravelines and Strasbourg. Boulazac Basket lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Le Mans' next round opponent will be league's leader Strasbourg IG at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Boulazac Basket will play against Entente Orleans 45 (#7).
