Regular Season Round 17: Mondeville - Arras 71-75

Bottom-ranked Arras managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the series of three consecutive loses. This time they won against eighth-ranked Mondeville 75-71. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Arras made 29-of-32 charity shots (90.6 percent) during the game, while Mondeville only scored seven points from the stripe. American point guard Dawn Evans (170-89, college: JMU, agency: LBM Management) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners and Ukrainian Olesia Malashenko (189-91, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four Arras players scored in double figures. American forward Amanda Lassiter (186-79, college: Missouri) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized American point guard Kristen Sharp (175-81, college: Cincinnati) scored 17 points. Arras (4-13) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Union Hainaut. Mondeville at the other side dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Arras will play against league's leader Lattes Montpellier at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mondeville will play against Charleville-Mezieres (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
