Not a big story in a game in Lugo where 9th ranked Oviedo (4-7) was defeated by fifth ranked Maquinaria Ensino (7-4) 66-52. Maquinaria Ensino forced 19 Oviedo turnovers and outrebounded them 47-26 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for power forward Veronica Matoso (185-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who led her team to a victory with 7 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Nerea Mendez (180-87) contributed with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Sara Fernandez Alvarez (-87) replied with 10 points and 7 rebounds and Ana Diez Casado (-86) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Oviedo. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Maquinaria Ensino moved-up to fourth place in Group A, which they share with Aros Leon. Oviedo lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Maquinaria Ensino's next round opponent will be Arxil Pontevedra (#11) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Oviedo will play against ADBA (#10) in Aviles.
