An interesting game took place in Las Palmas where higher ranked Navarra Pamplona (6-6) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Gran Canaria (5-7) 61-53. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Navarra Pamplona. The hosts were ahead by 6 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 22-12 run, which allowed them to win the game. Gran Canaria made 16-of-17 charity shots (94.1 percent) during the game. Gran Canaria outrebounded Navarra Pamplona 49-29 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Leticia Romero (176-95) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws). International power forward Vanessa Ble (190-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Gran Canaria players scored in double figures. Latvian power forward Aija Putnina (191-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and the former international power forward Laura Herrera (190-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 7 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Navarra Pamplona. Gran Canaria moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Hondar.-Irun and Burgos. Navarra Pamplona at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Gran Canaria's next round opponent will be Jopisa Burgos (#7) on the road. Navarra Pamplona will play against Socinsa Bembibre.
