Bottom-ranked BrGU COR Victoria (0-11) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 68-61 loss to sixth ranked Victoria-UOR (3-9) in Grodno on Saturday evening. BrGU COR Victoria trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 12-7 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 61-68 at the end of the game. Victoria-UOR dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to BrGU COR Victoria's 20. Victoria-UOR forced 28 BrGU COR Victoria turnovers. Valiantsina Myshapud (182-94) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners and forward Anastasiya Haryna (188-94) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four Victoria-UOR players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Veranika Adamik (181-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and forward Natalia Rusak (180-84) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Victoria-UOR maintains sixth place with 3-9 record. BrGU COR Victoria lost their eleventh game in a row. They still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Victoria-UOR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BrGU COR Victoria will play against Sozh Gomel (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
