Limoges CSP Elite (#10) forced the game against Gravelines-Dunkerque (#4) into an overtime, but lost by eleven points 80-91 on Saturday night. The game took place in Limoges. But the guests from Gravelines were better at the end. Limoges CSP Elite was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 16-13 charge of Gravelines-Dunkerque, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 18-7. The winners were led by American point guard Dwight Buycks (190-89, college: Marquette) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 assists and center Ousmane Camara (202-89) supported him with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Gravelines-Dunkerque's coach Christian Monschau used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds by American forward Jon Brockman (201-87, college: Washington) did not help to save the game for Limoges CSP Elite. His fellow American import guard Brad Wanamaker (193-89, college: Pittsburgh) added 16 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gravelines-Dunkerque have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Le Mans and Strasbourg. Newly promoted Limoges CSP Elite dropped to the ninth place with nine games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Gravelines-Dunkerque will meet Sluc Nancy (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Limoges CSP Elite will play against Cholet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
