Twelfth-ranked Rosa Radom (3-14) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked Asseco Prok. (11-6) on Saturday. The visitors from Gdynia managed to secure only one-point victory 76-75. However their fans expected much easier game. Asseco Prok. shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. The former international point guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) nailed 17 points and 7 assists for the winning side and the former international forward Robert Witka (205-81) accounted for 17 points. Four Asseco Prok. players scored in double figures. Serbian swingman Slavisa Bogavac (200-80, agency: BeoExcell) came up with 13 points and American guard J.J. Montgomery (196-82, college: Arkansas St.) added 12 points respectively for Rosa Radom in the defeat. Rosa Radom's coach Wojciech Kaminski tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Anwil and Trefl Sopot. Rosa Radom lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Asseco Prok. will meet at home Energa Czarni (#7) in the next round. Rosa Radom will play against Trefl Sopot (#5) and hope to secure a win.
