Regular Season Round 15: Talje - Haga Haninge 70-68

A very interesting game took place in Talje. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Haga Haninge (8-6) to ninth ranked Talje Knights (6-7) 70-68 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was point guard Filip Kovacek (182-95) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Jesper Andersson (203-86) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Talje Knights players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Tomas Oberg (183-82) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and center Jonas Wernqvist (204-80, college: Eckerd) added 17 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Talje Knights maintains ninth place in South with 6-7 record. Haga Haninge at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Talje Knights' next round opponent will be higher ranked Malbas (#3) in Malmo and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Haga Haninge will play at home against Sanda Basket in Huskvarna.
