No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked DongGuan Leopards (12-11) defeated at home 12th ranked Foshan (10-14) 141-133 on Sunday. DongGuan Leopards made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game. Strangely Foshan outrebounded DongGuan Leopards 56-41 including a 24-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Foshan was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) fired a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import point guard Blake Ahearn (188-84, college: Missouri St.) chipped in 28 points and 5 assists. American forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) produced a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds and forward Junwei Ren (203-90) added 22 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. DongGuan Leopards moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Liaoning H. and Zhejiang CB. Loser Foshan keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. DongGuan Leopards will face Bayi Rockets (#10) in Ningbo in the next round. Foshan will play at home against the league's leader Guandong Tigers having rather not much hope for a victory.
