CBA top team - Guandong Tigers (21-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked Foshan (10-15) 127-114. The game was mostly controlled by Guandong Tigers. Foshan was better in second period 36-29. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 28-of-35 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Foshan was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. International Jianlian Yi (212-87) had a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Terrence Williams (198-87, college: Louisville) chipped in 22 points during the contest. American forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) responded with 30 points and 8 rebounds and guard LingXu Zeng (193-87) scored 20 points and 5 assists. Four Guandong Tigers and five Foshan players scored in double figures. Guandong Tigers have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-3 record. Foshan lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 15 games lost. Guandong Tigers will play against Bayi Rockets (#10) in Ningbo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Foshan will play on the road against Fujian in Jinjiang and hopes to get back on the winning track.
