Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Mustangs (1-13) lost to sixth ranked Badgers (5-9) in St.Catharines, ON 78-83 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 14-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-78. Badgers outrebounded Mustangs 43-25 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American guard Jameson Tipping (201, college: W.Kentucky) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Mike Luby (213) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Badgers' coach Brad Rootes allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Quinn Henderson (193) replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Peter Scholtes (196) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Mustangs. Five Badgers and four Mustangs players scored in double figures. Badgers moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Mustangs lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
