Regular Season Round 24: Windsor - McMaster 80-73

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Lancers (11-3) defeated 3rd ranked Marauders (7-7) in Windsor, ON 80-73 on Wednesday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Marauders won fourth quarter 24-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lancers forced 23 Marauders turnovers. It was a good game for the former international forward Lien Phillip (203-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. point guard Enrico Diloreto (185-90) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Lancers' coach Chris Oliver allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Joe Rocca (193) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and guard Scott Laws (193) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Marauders. Lancers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-3 record, which they share with Ottawa. Marauders at the other side keep the third place with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
