Regular Season Round 24: Waterloo - Guelph 85-74

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Warriors (3-11) won against 4th ranked Gryphons (5-9) in Waterloo, ON 85-74 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Warriors. Gryphons was better in second period 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. It was a good game for forward Kyrie Coleman who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Gill Jaspreet contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Warriors players scored in double figures. Forward Daniel McCarthy (190) replied with 17 points and guard Kareem Malcolm (183) added 17 points in the effort for Gryphons. Gryphons' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Warriors maintains seventh position with 3-11 record, which they share with Brandon. Gryphons at the other side keep the fourth place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
