Regular Season Round 26: Zhejiang CB - Shanghai S. 126-112

Very predictable result when eighth ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (13-11) won against 15th ranked Shanghai Sharks (8-17) in Hangzhou 126-112. It looked good early as Shanghai Sharks took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank had a 26-21 second period charge getting the lead and Shanghai Sharks were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 112-126. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Shanghai Sharks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) who scored 41 points (!!!) and 6 assists. Power forward Eddy Curry (211-82) chipped in a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Gilbert Arenas (192-82, college: Arizona) produced 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward D.J. White (206-86, college: Indiana) added 27 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with DongGuan L. and Liaoning H. Shanghai Sharks at the other side dropped to the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's next round opponent will be Jilin Tigers (#14) in Changchun and are hoping to win another game. Shanghai Sharks will play at home against DongGuan Leopards.
