A very interesting game took place in Changchun. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 13th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (9-15) to fourteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (9-16) 114-113 on Wednesday evening. The hosts were already 12 points ahead at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 34-19 last quarter charge of Jiangsu Dragons cut the lead to 114-113 at the end of the game. Jilin Tigers made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Dewarick Spencer (193-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Biao Zhang (201-90) chipped in 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) produced a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and international Li Yi (203-85) added 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Five Jilin Tigers and four Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. Jiangsu Dragons' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Jilin Tigers maintains fourteenth position with 9-16 record. Jiangsu Dragons at the other side keep the thirteenth place with 15 games lost. Jilin Tigers' next round opponent will be higher ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#7) in Hangzhou and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
