Undefeated leader Flamengo delivered the sixteenth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 9th ranked Paulistano (8-8) 94-70 in Rio de Janeiro. The game without a history. Flamengo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. International swingman Vitor Benite (190-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 4 blocks. The former international forward Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) contributed with 23 points and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Flamengo players scored in double figures. American center Steven Toyloy (203-87, college: Cincinnati) answered with 16 points and power forward Renato Carbonari (204-87) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Paulistano. Paulistano's coach Gustavo Conti gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Flamengo (16-0) have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 16 victories in a row. Paulistano at the other side keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Minas.
