CBA top team - Guandong Tigers (22-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat tenth ranked Bayi Rockets (11-15) in Ningbo 92-82. Bayi Rockets were ahead by 10 points at the halftime before a 56-36 second half run of Guandong Tigers. They made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Bayi Rockets were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a quality performance for international Jianlian Yi (212-87) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Nigerian-American power forward Ike Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Five Guandong Tigers players scored in double figures. Guandong Tigers' coach ChunJiang Li allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Guandong Tigers. They maintain first place with 22-3 record. Bayi Rockets lost their fifth game in a row. Guandong Tigers will play against Shanghai Sharks (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
