Everything went according to plan in Regina, SK where first ranked Golden Bears (13-2) beat 7th ranked Cougars (5-10) 79-65 on Friday. The game without a history. Golden Bears led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Cougars' 34. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Golden Bears made 7 blocks. Naturalized Kenyan guard Kenneth Otieno (188) stepped up and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and forward Adam Weir (201) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Golden Bears players scored in double figures. Golden Bears' coach Barnaby Craddock used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
