Regular Season Round 29: Shiga L-Stars - Okinawa GK 80-69

Top ranked Okinawa GK (20-5) recorded its fifth loss on the court of fifth ranked Shiga L-Stars on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Shiga L-Stars 80-69. Okinawa GK was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Shiga L-Stars had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Shinya Ogawa (183-83) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Shiga L-Stars' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Narito Namizato (172-89) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars maintains fifth place with 16-11 record. Okinawa GK at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Shiga L-Stars are again looking forward to face league's leader Okinawa GK at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Okinawa GK will have a break next round.
