Fourteenth-ranked Saint Vallier (7-13) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Olympique Antibes (14-6). The visitors from Antibes managed to secure only one-point victory 71-70. However their fans expected much easier game. Saint Vallier was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 17-13 charge of Olympique Antibes, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Naturalized Senegalese center Moussa Badiane (205-81, college: E.Carolina) contributed with 10 points for the winners. American-Ivorian guard Errick Craven (188-83, college: USC) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and Florent Tortosa (196-89) added 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Saint Vallier. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Olympique Antibes moved-up to third place, which they share with Chalons-Reims and Le Portel. Saint Vallier lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Olympique Antibes will have a break next round. Saint Vallier will play on the road against Fos Ouest (#9).
