There was an upset in Brandon, MB where second-ranked Huskies (11-5) were defeated by eighth ranked Bobcats (4-12) 73-69 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-10. But Huskies won second period 17-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Huskies outrebounded Bobcats 46-32 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Ilarion Bonhomme who scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Kenonte Ramsey chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Matthew Forbes (198) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and guard Evan Ostertag (183) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Bobcats maintains eighth position with 4-12 record. Loser Huskies keep the second place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
