Leader Niigata Albirex delivered the twentieth first victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (3-22) 100-83. The game without a history. Niigata Albirex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Niigata Albirex especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American center Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont, agency: Top Notch Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import forward Rodney Webb (200-83, college: Florida Atlantic) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Niigata Albirex's coach Matt Garrison allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman John Humphrey (188-80, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Court Side) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and guard Yuki Kitamuki (184-85) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Niigata Albirex. They maintain first place with 21-7 record.
