Everything went according to plan in Winnipeg, MB where third ranked Bisons (12-5) won against 6th ranked Pronghorn (7-9) 104-94 on Saturday. Pronghorn was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 28-13 charge of Bisons, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Pronghorn turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Jonar Huertas (183) who scored 34 points (!!!). American guard Stephan Walton (178-87, college: Valdosta St.) chipped in 27 points and 4 assists. Walton is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Alex Fletcher (185) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and center Derek Waldner (201) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Pronghorn's coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bisons have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Pronghorn dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
