Fourth-ranked Tigers (6-7) made lots of trouble for top-ranked Capers (14-0) in Halifax, NS on Saturday. The visitors from Sydney, NS managed to secure only two-point victory 76-74. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tigers. The guests trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 32-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Guard Kayon Mayers (185) scored 21 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Meshack Lufile (203) chipped in 9 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Capers players scored in double figures. Forward Simon Marr (203) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and guard John Traboulsi scored 5 points and 12 rebounds. Capers have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-0 record. Loser Tigers keep the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with St.Francis X.. Capers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tigers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Halifax, NS Huskies.
