No shocking result in a game in Thunder Bay, ON where second ranked Thunderwolves (10-5) smashed 6th ranked Golden Hawks (4-11) 101-75 on Saturday. The game without a history. Thunderwolves led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Thunderwolves outrebounded Golden Hawks 50-39 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized Egyptian forward Yoosrie Salhia (198-87) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Ryan Thomson (201-90) chipped in 25 points. Five Thunderwolves players scored in double figures. Guard Maxwell Allin (193) produced 24 points and 8 rebounds and guard Jamar Forde (190) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Thunderwolves have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 10-5 record having just two points less than leader UBC. Loser Golden Hawks keep the sixth place with 11 games lost. Thunderwolves will have a break next round.
