No shocking result in a game in Ottawa where first ranked Carleton (13-3) smashed 5th ranked Laurentian (5-10) 87-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. Carleton led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Laurentian's 18. They outrebounded Laurentian 49-28 including a 27-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Alyson Bush (170) fired 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Darcy Hawkins (183) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Danielle Harris (165) produced 12 points and forward Adrienne Moreau (175) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Carleton have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-3 record, which they share with UFV. Laurentian lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Carleton will have a break next round. Laurentian will play at home against McMaster (#5) in Hamilton and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
