We should mention about the upset which took place in Przemysl, where higher ranked Stal Ostrow (11-9) lost to ninth ranked Polonia (10-10) in a road game 70-79 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-70. Polonia made 25-of-27 free shots (92.6 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Polonia made 7 blocks. Stal Ostrow was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Tomasz Zablocki (202-78, agency: Promotex) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Center Dariusz Wyka (207-91) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds.
